In my most recent line of work I use clay to
make objects like vases, tiles and plates
building on a personal, unof􀏐icial and alternative
worldview about the origins of
civilization. These works mainly refer to
mythology, astronomy, esotericism and
other non-scienti􀏐ic knowledge.
Both, the clay works and my painting explore
camp sensibility. With particular interest
in reviewing the history of art, decoration
and other minor arts, copying and quoting,
and specially, painting in expanded formats
or supports considered non-optimal such
as plastic, among others; the relationship
between the industrial/impersonal and the
artisan.
Although my initial training is in traditional
painting, my work has always been linked
to collaborative projects and cooperative
work platforms to build new alternative,
experimental and independent spaces
