Juan Perdiguero Trillo > Info & Featured work

Juan Perdiguero Trillo (b. 1996) of Aranda de Duero, Burgos, Spain, traces his artistic roots to the age of 12 as a graffiti artist in his hometown. After graduating from his Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca, he has shown his works in Burgos, Madrid, Lisbon, Buenos Aires, New York, London, Mexico, Barcelona and the Philippines, as he continues to hone his art.

Perdiguero Trillo is interested in the rapprochement and friction between the rituals and dogmas established by the art and graffiti community, where images are produced and judged. This combination is central to his pictorial explorations of the present. As a Spanish artist Perdiguero Trillo draws from the great Spanish masters and their topics: heroic painting, religious painting, altarpieces, etc. Combined together with vandalic gestures, above what Perdiguero Trillo insists on portraying us as a gesture of vindication and encouter, his paintings are allegories that refer to the typical attitudes of graffitti and of his life.
