I work in sculptural media making objects and installations in which their material quality evidences artifice as part of the composition. For me, the physical process of manufacturing in its immersive intensity is important; moment in which I forget myself in the object happening. In the work I want to find synthetic units that, through clear but arbitrary guidelines, give an intuitive order to concerns about the possibilities and conditions of individual and collective existence. I proceed through abstraction: I cut out elements from the domestic or industrial sphere and combine or transform them to present them as somewhat metaphysical emotional landscapes. Lately I turned to wood carving to play with giving abstract geometric body (silhouette and weight) to these mental atmospheres.
